Installing
If you got it from the MQL5 Market
There is nothing to install. MetaTrader downloads it for you and it appears in the Navigator, under Indicators > Market. Skip to Putting it on a chart.
If you downloaded it from the website
1. In MetaTrader 5, open File > Open Data Folder. An explorer window opens. 2. Go into MQL5 and then Indicators. 3. Copy StancelTempo.ex5 in there. 4. Back in MetaTrader, right-click Indicators in the Navigator and choose Refresh.
If the Navigator is not visible: View > Navigator, or Ctrl+N.
Putting it on a chart
Drag StancelTempo from the Navigator onto the chart you want it on. The properties window opens; press OK and that is it.
You do not need to touch a single setting to start. Everything ships with a value that works; the settings are there for when you want to change something, not for you to fill in.
Which chart to put it on
Any of them, but it is worth knowing this:
- The timeframe does not matter for the strip: the whole day is always drawn, from M1 to H1. On very long timeframes (H4, D1) the strip is still correct, but the shading over the candles stops meaning much, because one candle covers several sessions.
- The symbol does matter, for two things: the session range and the economic releases, which are filtered by the currencies of the pair in front of you.
- You can run it on several charts at once. Each one keeps its own settings.
It lives alongside everything else
Tempo only draws in the band at the top and shades the background. It does not touch your objects, your lines or your other indicators, and you can have it on the same chart as anything else.
If you also run Stancel in that terminal, Tempo stays out of its way: they are two separate programs.
Removing it
Right-click the chart > Indicators List, select Stancel Tempo and press Delete. It goes completely: no stray objects, no files left behind.
