What Stancel Tempo is
Stancel Tempo is an indicator for MetaTrader 5 that draws a strip across the top of your chart. That strip answers one question:
Where am I in the day, and what comes next?
Nothing else. It gives no signals, makes no predictions and suggests no entries. It puts in one place what you would otherwise have to read off a clock, a calendar and your own head at the same time, and that is its whole job.
Time comes first
Everything Tempo draws depends on one thing: knowing which clock your broker is really using on each date. Most brokers change their clocks twice a year, and an indicator that uses today's offset for everything draws the sessions before the change one hour out.
Tempo measures that offset from the price history of your own symbol, week by week, and shows you what it is drawing with:

What you see on the strip
- The whole day as one bar. The three sessions — Tokyo, London and New York —, the dead zone of the afternoon and the rollover. The session that is open right now is highlighted. Where two sessions overlap, their colours add up and the overlap shows in a third colour.
- The killzones, on their own line under the bar.
- The economic releases, marked on that same bar by importance.
- A continuous countdown, to the second: how long until the open session closes, or until the next one opens. At the weekend it counts down to the Sunday open, instead of pretending a session is running.
- The next economic release and how long until it comes out.
- A countdown to the close of the current candle.
- The New York clock and the time model everything is drawn with.
- The live session range, with a gauge that tells you whether price sits high or low inside it.
What it draws on the chart
- The sessions shaded over the candles, each candle on the clock of its own date. As a fill, or as edges only.
- The highs and lows of the previous session (Asia, London, New York) and of the previous day, as lines that stop where price touches them. See Highs and lows.
- One custom session, to the minute, if you switch it on.
And it alerts you, if you ask
Alerts for session opens and closes, killzones and economic releases, by popup, sound, phone or email. They all come switched off. See Alerts.
What it does not do, and why
It does not trade, and it cannot. It is an indicator, and MetaTrader gives an indicator no access to the trading functions. That is not a promise of ours: it is the terminal's own limit. If you ever want a program from this house to help you trade, that is Stancel, which is a different product.
It does not go online. The economic calendar is read from the terminal itself, which already ships it. No downloads, no outside source that can go down.
No DLLs. Nothing outside MetaTrader itself.
It collects nothing about you. It cannot see your account, your balance or your trades, and it has nowhere to send them.
It is free, and it is complete
There is no paid version of Tempo. It is not a cut-down demo or a trial: what you download is the whole product, and the versions that follow will be too.
It checks nothing at startup: no key, no registration, no activation, nothing that expires. You copy it, drag it onto a chart and it works.
